About us
THE SUSTAINABLE HEMP PLANT
Industrial hemp is a very diverse plant. It can meet all basic human needs: clothing, housing, food and medicine. Hemp is a particularly environmentally friendly and sustainable crop. Unfortunately, the history and stigma associated with cannabis means industrial hemp has missed the modern industrial revolution and has only recently made a comeback as a solution for local, eco-friendly and sustainable production.
ALBERT DUN – FOUNDER OF DUN AGRO
Albert Dun was born and raised on his parents’ farm in Oude Pekela, the Netherlands. At the time, the family grew traditional crops such as beets, potatoes and corn. From an early age, Albert was involved in innovations – improving techniques and processes. He was introduced to the hemp plant in 1994, and he immediately saw potential in this strong crop. Since 1999, he and Dun Agro have been focusing entirely on hemp cultivation and the processing of primary fibres.
DEVELOPMENT OF THE MANY HEMP END PRODUCTS
Albert quickly realised that Dun Agro had to keep expanding and move into finished products. This was the only way to demonstrate the real potential of the plant.
Since then, the company has grown enormously. After building a variety of production facilities for, among other things, hemp construction and CBD products, it was time to start the Dun Agro Hemp Group and show the world what has been achieved from one place. Welcome!
