In the north of the Netherlands we are now used to it, fields full of hemp, how different it was just under 30 years ago! Then the hemp fields were looked at strangely and, in the night hours, a few plants were sometimes taken to smoke at home.
The northerners now know that it is industrial hemp, which does not get you high, but it remains a special phenomenon for tourists.
Dun Agro has sown approximately 1,300 hectares of hemp this year and the first hemp has now been mowed and chopped.
The first straw is already being supplied, so that after this maintenance week, the factory can be fully operational again.
